Principal / Chief Executive Officer
Jamie is a highly successful entrepreneur and investor, having completed over 100 investments in his career. He is the founder/co-founder of several specialist investment firms, including Rcapital, Blazehill Capital, Quilam Capital and Modella Capital. He is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Certified Accountants and is the advisor to The Flight & Partners Recovery Fund, launched by Lord Flight in 2008. At Hay Wain, Jamie is responsible for strategy, execution of investment decisions and the availability of capital.

Alex leads investment and portfolio management activity across the Hay Wain Group. Alex joined Hay Wain in 2019 and was previously a Partner at mid-market M&A advisory firm, Arrowpoint Advisory, with a particular focus on the business and financial services sector. Alex has over 15 years’ experience in M&A and private equity and has completed over 60 transactions. Alex is a qualified chartered accountant having begun his career at KPMG.

Charlie Martindale
Investment Director
Charlie is a chartered surveyor who leads real estate investment at the Hay Wain Group. Prior to joining Hay Wain in 2024, Charlie spent 6 years at the global real estate firm CBRE. During this time, Charlie completed over £250 million in real estate transactions and built expertise in investment strategy for institutional and private capital. In 2023, Charlie qualified as a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA).
